Remake Rewind: Resident Evil

Another Paul W.S Anderson film! Perhaps a series that should have been rebooted earlier, the Resident Evil film from 2002 spawned five sequels with diminishing returns. Sony decided to confuse us and reboot the movie series and create an unrelated TV series. Can Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, reanimate the dying franchise? Director Johannes Christopher certainly hopes that being more faithful to the games will be the key to a successful new film franchise.

Remake Rewind: Flatliners

Some lines are not meant to be crossed but this one was crossed twice. We watched Flatliners. One was described as The Breakfast club Dies meets St. Elmo’s Funeral. One starred Elliot Page and was largely unnoticed. Both ask interesting questions but did either deliver?

Remake Rewind: Friday The 13th

It’s that time of year and to open up the Halloween season we travel to Camp Crystal Lake to cover a classic horror franchise. That’s right we are discussing one of the most iconic characters of all time. We cover Jason Voorhees in Friday The 13th Part II and the 2009 Friday The 13th. What makes this character so iconic? We discuss this and more on Remake Rewind.

Remake Rewind: The Last Man on Earth & I am Legend

What do Vincent Price and Will Smith have in common? They both lost dogs and fought vague vampire zombie creatures caused by a pandemic. That’s right we watched the Vincent Price classic, The Last Man on Earth and Will Smith’s I Am Legend. We weren’t really thinking about the pandemic when we picked this as we were shamelessly trying to capitalize on Will Smith being in the news. We had already paid for the rentals so enjoy the episode!
